Perhaps the most precious gift that God has given to us is time. In spite of this being a precious gift, most people abuse the years, months, and days that God gives to them.

There are basically two ways that people abuse the gift of time. They are as follows:

1. By laziness. Some Christians waste their time by watching TV constantly, sleeping till noon, or otherwise watching the days go by.
2. By becoming so involved in other activities that the Lord is left out. Some hold two jobs or have so many activities going that they "do not have time for the Lord." Jesus said, "Seek ye first his kingdom." (Matt. 6:33).

Paul also admonished us to use our time wisely by stating, "Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise: redeeming the time, because the days are evil" (Eph. 5:15-16).
