S.I.E.C.U.S.

The letters S.I.E.C.U.S. stands for the organization, Sex Information and Education Council of the United States, which cooperates with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, to promote sex education. S.I.E.C.U.S., which is tax exempt, has developed programs including kindergarten through the twelveth grade. The Federal government gave them a grant of $1.5 million to support them.
Dr. Mary S. Calderone, the organization's executive director, stated the mission of
S.I.E.C.U.S. in an address to 300 boys at Blair Academy, N. J.:
"What is sex for? It's for fun," she told them. "Sex is not something you turn off like a faucet. If you do, it's unhealthy." And she continued, "We need new values to establish when and how we should have sex experiences."
Dr. Calderon's "new values" or "New Morality" are as old as Sodom and Gomorrah. According to Look magazine, when a student asked her: "What is your opinion of premarital sex relations among teenagers?" Mrs. Calderone snapped back: "What's yours?" Nobody from on high (God) determines this, you determine it... I don't believe the old "Thou Shalt Nots" apply anymore."
In Seventeen magazine Dr. Calderone claimed, "Sex is not the prerogative of Christianity," and the Saturday Evening Post quotes her as declaring that sexual "Do's and Don'ts cannot be imposed on the young." After telling her youthful audiences that "there doesn't seem to be any correlation between premarital sex and success m marriage," she regularly leaves the decision of premarital intercourse up to her young listeners. The Boston Globe of December 5, 1968, quotes her as telling a blushing audience of five hundred high school boys and girls:
"The question goes far beyond 'Will I go to bed?' and its one you must answer for ourselves. You boys may know a girl is physically ready, but you have to ask yourselves: 'Am I ready to take the responsibility?' to say, yes, she is ready emotionally and psychologically."
This godless program teaches against God's laws and denies the existence of God. Premarital sex relations are condemned in the Bible (I Corinthians 7:1, 2; I Corinthians 5:11).
I read in a Michigan newspaper of one instance which happened in a kindergarten class. The boys and girls were led into a room and they had to touch and handle each other's sex organs and then return to class and report their feelings. Preposterous, yes, but true fact.
One of the stories in a third grade reader, used in Bangor, Michigan, was based on three Hebrew children who were thrown into the fiery furnace. Only in this story these three were given different names only similar in sound. They were thrown in an ice pit. And when they were taken out they were warm, not frozen stiff as you would think. The people said, "Oh what strong gods you have."
Another story from this same book tells a king who was so smart he said if anyone could trick him and show they were smarter than he was then he would give them half his kingdom and his fair daughter to be his wife. It went on to tell all who tried their luck and lost their heads. It lists men of all trades including the ministers of the gospel. It also told how the king's daughter was put on display for the men to see.
These stories and much more for third graders. Imagine that! These sex programs are making fun of God and His Bible. They even teach there is no God.
The Fayetteville (N.Y.) Eagle Bulletin in a series of articles on the sex education program in local communities describes a film designed and recommended by SIECUS entitled "How Babies are Made." The newspaper said that the film, recommended by SIECUS for second graders, depicts slides of chickens and dogs copulating. The accompanying explanation that is given is "this is what mommy and papa do," and then a man and woman are shown locked in embrace beneath a sheet.
Fourth through sixth grades are treated to a SIECUS Family Life Education course that consists of a simple and prurient description of sex act, before, during and after. FLE asks the students to write a paper on their opinion of extra-marital inter-course sad on such topics as "My Parents Expect Too Much," and "Don't Expect Enough of Me." Debates are assigned on, "I have a right to do as I please" and "the meaning of the word good," the latter debate to have "no real conclusion."
These sex programs are spreading throughout the United States. Last July, Maryland ordered all state schools to develop sex education curriculums. Chicago, which started programs in 27 schools last year limited to fifth graders, is expanding programs to 108 schools, including kindergarten, and grades six-eight in several schools. In the fall of 1970 the teaching of sex education in schools in New York State will be mandated by state law.
One newspaper writer stated that if this program is allowed to continue for ten years it will destroy this county. I might add that Sodom and Gomorrah will have nothing on the United States for being evil.
Sweden has had compulsory sex education in the schools from ages 6 to 16 since 1956. Today immorality in Sweden, especially among the teenagers, has reached such a point that venereal diseases are reported running rampant through the schools. The King's Physician and more than 100 other Swedish doctors in a petition to the Swedish Government have expressed their deep concern over "the sexual hysteria in the young" and declared that it appears to be a product of modern education in our schools' "sex education program." Wherever sex education is taught in the schools, immorality has greatly increased.
These programs tell the children about sex and then let them decide for themselves what their conduct should be. The sex classes will turn out to be the most damaging thing that young Americans and their families have yet encountered.
As parents we must use our God given right to protect our children from such godless teachings. We must do all in our power to stop this program. Discuss this program with your school board, the teachers and other parents. Also, write to the newspapers and all others that may be in a position to help stop this sex program from being taught in our schools.
It is the duty of the parents to teach their children about sex, no one else. Let us wake
up and stop those evil teachings before it is too late.
