Just before his crucifixion, Christ was laid at the mercy of Pilate, and Pilate said unto the multitudes, "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? "

Possibly today in another sense, and yet similar in some respects, you also are deciding what you shall do with Jesus. If you have not obeyed him for the remission of sins, then certainly this should weigh heavily upon your heart, knowing that when the Lord comes again he will come "in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" (II Thess. 1: 8).

Someday the question will be reversed. He now stands before you, and you have the right to decide what you shall do with him, but the day will come when you shall stand before him and he will decide what to do with you.
