To Give Away….

• The North “A” church of Christ has 8 14′ pews with padded seats in good condition to give away to any congregation willing to pick them up.  Write or call PO Box 152, McAlester, OK  74502 Phone: (918) 423-4092.

• The Westside church of Christ which meets in Wichita, KS has a used Baptistry to give away. It measures 4′ X 4′ X 8′ and is in generally good condition. We have some photos available. • I have a pulpit, a communion table, and 194 theater-style seats that I am ready to donate to a congregation that can use them.  If you have any space in your next issue, perhaps you can notify your readers.  The pulpit and communion table are in excellent condition with just a couple of surface mars.  The seats are in average or better condition.

• The Lord’s church formerly of Amberg, WI has 5 pews to give to a church that can use them.  The pews are 15 ft long and padded.  All we ask is that you make arrangements to pick them up or have them delivered.  If interested please contact Mary Williams at (715) 582-0799.  (Posted 10.27.2008).

• The River Ridge church of Christ which meets in Newburgh, IN has (8) FREE 13 foot pews available.  The pews are a medium oak with blue padded seats.  The pews are older and have some wear.  The cushions are in good shape.  Please contact Chuck Bartlett at 812-550-6234.  (Posted 10.27.2008).

Retiring???

Consider Retiring to Lake Brownwood, Texas Located on the northwest edge of the beautiful Texas hill country, Lake Brownwood is not as well known as many of the other Texas lake front properties. Because of that, the land is cheaper and the area not as congested. We have a faithful, but small (21 attending), congregation in Brownwood and need growth (of the right kind). The Woodland Heights church of Christ has a full time evangelist, Wayne Goforth, who has recently moved here with his family to work with the congregation. The city of Brownwood itself is a growing community of approximately 27,000 in the city and a 75,000 surrounding shopping population. We are the largest town for an hour and a half in any direction, and about that far to any other faithful works. Industries here include Kohler Bath Products and 3-M, along with the hospital and state school. For the outdoorsmen, this is where people come to deer hunt. Quail is in abundance and fishing a way of life. For the ladies, there is ample shopping with a mall, a super Wal-Mart and trendy downtown shopping. Howard Payne University is located here and is rated as the second best baccalaureate college in the South West.
